Your Fuel Tank Questions Answered
Fuel tank FAQs: What you wanted to know about our tanks
We have over 60 years of experience, and in that time, we’ve learned what our customers need when refueling. Here, we’ve collected some of our most frequently asked questions about our tanks and service.
Here’s what you wanted to know about
Below, we answer some of your questions about our tanks that demonstrate how they can meet the needs of your business.
Is my tank covered if something goes wrong?
There’s no getting around the fact that a fuel tank is a big investment. You’ll want to know that you’re covered if something goes wrong.
Our tanks perform in some of the harshest conditions on the planet, but should anything go wrong, we put our money where our mouth is with our Built to Last warranty. This includes an 8-year warranty on our steel tanks and a 1-year warranty on all other products. So, in the unlikely event that something is wrong with your tank, we’ll provide a repair or replacement to ensure you’re up and running again as soon as possible.
Can your tanks handle extreme environments?
Our tanks are tailor-made for extreme environments (we would know, we’ve pushed them to the limit in our ‘Extreme Test Series’). They go through rigorous testing to ensure they remain compliant with the highest standards in the industry and a wide range of certifications and approvals. They’re built with a go-anywhere philosophy that, if they can be transported there, they’ll perform.
As well as a robust build, they’re also made to perform in extreme weather. We also offer accessories that allow you to fuel in conditions that may otherwise be impossible, like heating jackets and heated hoses for our DEF tanks, with a rating of -40°C/F, and an outer shell that protects against UV exposure that can break down DEF.
Getting them to a location quickly can be key. If you’re dealing with disaster relief, tanks need to be delivered quickly. We ensure our tanks remain in stock and ready to ship at a moment’s notice. We ship our tanks anywhere, for use anywhere.
My customers request tanks to move fuel on the highway and to supply fuel on the jobsite. Can you supply both?
Yes! Different businesses have radically different requirements for their fuel. Businesses that require agility over a large site, e.g. construction, will need transportable fuel tanks. Distributors or courier companies may require a stationary fuel tank with a large capacity.
Our highway-approved fuel transport tanks include:
- TransCube Global: One of the most reliable, transportable diesel storage tanks available, with capacities ranging from 251 USG to 1,215 USG.
- FuelCube Type–S: A super-portable diesel transfer tank that fits in the bed of your trunk, with a capacity of 119 USG.
- TransCube Mobile Refueler: A trailer-mounted tank designed for travel on construction sites and between projects, with capacities from 251 USG to 1,204 USG.
Our on-site fuel tanks include:
- FuelCube: Our most compact fuel tank, with capacities from 252 USG to 1,847 USG.
- TransCube Standby: Perfect for large-volume, on-site fuel supply, with a capacity of up to 2,388 USG.
- EnviroCube: Bulk fuel storage for fleet operators and fuel distributors with capacities of up to 12,472 USG.
- TransTank Pro: Designed for large-scale, long-term fueling, these tanks are available with capacities from 3,068 USG to 17,356 USG.
How can my customers keep their fuel supply safe?
Fuel theft is an issue that’s getting worse. In the US, the average cost of fuel theft in the construction industry is thought to be $7.5 million per year.
We know how much fuel theft can affect the bottom line, and we’ve designed our fuel tanks to make it nearly impossible to steal fuel from them.
- The double-walled design of our tank means your fuel is behind two walls – removing the ability for thieves to pierce the walls of the tank to access fuel.
- Our tanks have lockable cabinets that secure all ports, fittings and pumping gear – keeping your fuel and equipment safe.
