At Western Global, we are committed to doing better every day, for our people, our customers and our environment. As a global business, we understand the positive impact that we can have on our world and that even the smallest improvements can make a difference, from how we empower our team, to enabling customers to work in a more sustainable way. We strive to develop new innovative and sustainable fuel storage solutions that ensure fuel is stored securely and that support our customers on their decarbonisation journey.
We see our business as an enabler of change, supporting customers to meet the fuel storage challenges of tomorrow while addressing their fuel storage requirements today. At the heart of the business is our desire to reduce environmental risks and a sustainable approach. This drives our product development and ensures we are providing customers with fuel storage solutions they need to grow in an efficient, safe and environmentally secure way.
Our sustainability strategy focuses on the issues that have the potential to influence better ways of working, setting best practices for our products, our processes and our people. Our strategy is inspired and driven by the eight most relevant UN sustainable development goals.
These help us to define and categorise our activities so we can play our part in creating a fairer and better world.
Clem Connor CEO
At Western Global, we live and breathe fuel storage solutions and are passionate about meeting the liquid fuelling needs of tomorrow in an environmentally secure and sustainable way.
Our number one priority is the safe and secure storage of traditional and clean fuels. From construction sites to disaster zones, Western Global’s modular tanks, pumps, and fuel management solutions ensure a ready, reliable and safe source of fuel, wherever our customers need it.
Our fuel tanks are engineered to put environmental protection first – with 110% double wall secondary containment and internal housing for pump and port connections, our products provide customers with the confidence they need when storing fuel.
We’re proud to say that we have supplied over 100,000 tanks to end users, fuel distributors and rental partners – keeping over 100 million litres of fuel from leaking.
As a market leader in the safe and secure temporary storage of traditional and clean fuels we believe that we are ideally placed to play a role in the transition to a lower carbon economy, working alongside our customers to reduce their fossil fuel usage and start prioritising the use of cleaner liquid fuels at their sites.
One specific area of growth that we are supporting is the transition from traditional fossil fuel diesel to HVO. HVO is a ‘drop-in’ replacement fuel for traditional fossil fuel diesel with the benefit of reducing emissions by up to 90% compared to diesel. To support this transition Western Global has certified its fuel tanks as suitable for HVO – giving customers the confidence that our products are ready for the future of liquid fuels. To find out more about the advantages of HVO click here.
At Western Global, we pride ourselves on being ‘future ready’. By being an early mover in the clean liquid fuels market, we believe that we can support market change and play a leading role in supporting our customers’ decarbonisation efforts.
At Western Global, we recognise the vital role that our employees play in our success so ensuring they remain happy and challenged is a key priority. We are certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ and have achieved national recognition in the United States as one of the top 10 manufacturing companies (Small & Medium Workplaces) to work for by Fortune magazine. We couldn’t be more proud.
We understand that the success of our company is driven by our people, and that sticking to and developing our core values is imperative for business success, workforce retention and a significant incentive for new joiners to come and work at Western Gobal.
We continually invest in upskilling and reskilling our colleagues, through digital learning platforms and dedicated development plans, from soft-skill development to extensive health and safety operator training. Additionally, by supporting professional qualifications, degrees, apprenticeships and workshops for our team, we’re confident that personal development remains a focal point for the company. But development at Western Global is more than just training, we also support the development of our people through a number of other initiatives, from setting up an Employee Wellbeing program to introducing a Women in Business partnership.
