Degrees, dust and diesel

When you’re carting iron ore in the Australian outback, your fuel supply needs to handle the heat. It’s also vital that modern dump trucks, each hauling over 300-tons per trip, get completely dust-free fuel, plus the unique lubricants and coolant needed in this terrain. Traditionally, fixed point fueling and maintenance stations are used, taking trucks out of the circuit, adding downtime in a business where margins count.

Project Solution

Ore Churning

We used our vast experience to co-develop a portable in-pit refueling bullet, providing secure, clean diesel, without taking the trucks off circuit. Using the highest quality components available, and adding lubes and liquids to the bullet, we helped reduce downtime and increase margins to an optimum operational level.

The world is increasingly looking to Africa and India to satisfy its hunger for iron ore, so marginal gains in established markets like Australia are hugely significant. We’re ready to help them take on that challenge: as Asia is fueling demand for its steelmaking, we’re ready, refueling the trucks.
