People Behind The Tank: Kate Woodward 

Kate Joined us in early 2023 to lead the UK marketing team, and was recently promoted to Regional Director. She now leads our UK, and Europe sales, operations and marketing team. Get to know Kate Woodward in our Q&A:

Hey Kate! How would you describe your job in one sentence?

An amazing opportunity to lead a passionate and capable team.

What initially attracted you to Western Global?

For me, the key to success is a strong positive culture, which was the real draw to Western Global. The ‘ReadyMakers’ ethos and core values of teamwork, openness, passion, integrity, and celebrating success really resonated with me.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

I’m really looking forward to learning more about the industry and discovering new ways to provide market-leading solutions to our diverse customer base.

Is there a piece of work in your career that you’re most proud of?

I am super proud of the amazing teams I have managed. Watching them grow and flourish has been incredibly fulfilling. I also have three sons and have always felt it was important to show them the positive and unique influence women can have in the workplace.

When you’re not working, how do you spend your free time?

Time with the family will always be my number one best thing to do, but I love sports and getting lost in a good book.

With the summer holiday season upon us, what’s your favourite holiday spot?

I absolutely love Brittany in France. I’ve been going there for years, and there’s nothing quite like starting the day with a fresh croissant, and winding down with some good wine in the evening sunshine.
