People Behind the Tank: Meet Huw Jones 

We’re known for our fuel tanks – but what about the people behind them? Today, we’re spending time with Huw Jones, our Business Development Manager in the South West (UK).

Getting to know Huw Jones: Our Q&A

Huw joined our team last year, his warm and friendly energy has made him the perfect fit within the Western family.

Let’s dive into our Q&A and get to know Huw a little better.

How would you describe your job in one sentence?

I get to do a bit of everything while meeting lots of fascinating people in all kinds of places.

What inspired you to join WG?

The whole interview experience was great! Clem (our CEO) and Zoe (Sales Manager) were so enthusiastic about the company, their enthusiasm was infectious! Western’s values truly resonated with me.

What’s your sales style?

I believe in a friendly approach— really understanding what our customers need and helping them find the perfect product to fit.

What are you most excited about in 2025?

I can’t wait to hit the road with our fantastic internal team supporting me! I’m really looking forward to meeting and connecting with more customers and spreading the word about Western Global.

What’s your favourite product and why?

I’m a big fan of the trusty TransCube Global tank (TCG) it does exactly what it says on the tin, or should I say tank!

How did you spend your Christmas break?

As a builder by trade, I spent the break renovating my property. It was a nice, quiet Christmas for me.

Do you have any New Year’s resolutions for 2025?

I tend to steer clear of New Year’s resolutions—they’re just too easy to break, right?

How do you like to unwind when you’re not working?

I love watching sports, especially since both my boys play football. My 18-year-old even plays semi-pro! I also enjoy reading and watching films.

Finally, any movie and TV recommendations?

Ray Donovan and Gangs of London is another great pick.
