People Behind The Tank Meet Dylan & Alex

Meet the dynamic duo behind our Parts Team: Dylan and Alex. Dylan is the driving force behind our new in-house parts team, with years of experience at Western Global, including time in Engineering. While Alex is your go-to contact for spare parts, he began his journey in Operations and transitioned to the role of Inside Sales Representative earlier this year.

Let’s dive into a Q&A and get to know them a little better:

 

Q&A with Dylan and Alex

 

What inspired you both to join the parts team at Western Global?

D: I saw an opportunity for personal career growth. I noticed a gap within the business, and I knew I could help make a difference.

A:  I wanted to join the Sales team and contribute to the company’s growth. Plus, I love a good challenge!

 

What excites you the most about your role?

D: Helping customers find solutions. Every day brings something new and exciting.

A: Definitely the customer interaction, it’s always great to connect and help the team.

 

What do you find most rewarding about your current roles?

D & A: Seeing the positive impact we have on our customers, it feels great to know we’re making their lives easier and that our products make a real difference for them.

 

Can you give us a glimpse of a day in the life of the Western Global Parts team?

D: It always starts with a big cup of coffee! After that, it’s all about tackling the day’s tasks and finding solutions for our customers.

A: It starts with responding to emails, and then it’s all hands on deck helping out customers and making sure everything runs smoothly.

 

What are some of the challenges you have faced, and how have you overcome them?

D: Ensuring our team has in-depth product knowledge. We solved this by creating comprehensive literature that made it easier for everyone to familiarise themselves with our products.

A: Enhancing my customer service skills—working in the parts department and handling daily calls helps me sharpen this skill.

 

What’s your favourite product and why?

D: Any pump kits because we helped design them specifically to meet our customers’ needs. It’s great to see them in action!

A: For me, it’s got to be the Tecalemit-80 Gauge. I’ve spent a lot of time getting to know the ins and outs of the system; it’s like an old friend at this point!

 

When you’re not working, how do you like to unwind?

D: I love staying active, spending time with friends and family, and enjoying social activities.

A:  Working out and spending quality time with my wife and daughter.

 

As the season changes and it gets colder, what’s your go-to activity?

D & A: The same as the above, but just with more layers on.

 

We’re always looking for movies and TV recommendations. What’s on your watchlist?

D: Lost series, All creatures great and small and Richard Hammonds workshop

A:  Always Sunny in Philadelphia is my go-to right now.
