Can a fuel tank fly? Using our tank lifting bracket kit
You probably came here wondering if a tank can fly. Sadly, the short answer is no – but there is a twist! We’ve developed lifting bracket kits that can be installed on our tanks, enabling you to lift them onto a construction site. This is especially useful when you only have a crane, with chains, at your disposal.
Below is a breakdown of our non-trailer fuel tanks, and their lifting capabilities.
Lifting your fuel tanks onto your jobsite
Whether you’re on a small, logistically challenging site or taking to the skies and giving a bridge an uplift, our tanks defy logic and can be used at height or dropped onto site without any bumps. But how is it done? And is there anything you need to do to prepare? Read on to find out.
FuelCube
Yes – a FuelCube can be lifted, but hold your horses! It’s important to note that the lifting bracket kit for our line of FuelCube tanks can only be used when the tank is empty. This is because our FuelCube is not designed – or approved – to be lifted when full of fuel, as this would then exceed the weight limit of our lifting brackets, adding to the safety risk.
Ensuring the tank is empty before using the lifting brackets is crucial for safe handling, and to prevent any potential damage or accidents.
TransCube
On the other hand, our bread and butter – the Transcube Global. This line of tanks is engineered with corner brackets built-in that include lifting lugs, allowing the tank to be easily lifted using a crane – meaning no additional kit required.
These tanks also have UNIBC (United Nations Intermediate Bulk Container) approval, amongst others, meaning they meet stringent international safety and performance standards. As a result, our Transcube tanks can be safely lifted – even when they are full of fuel.

You can also watch our TransCube be hoisted 80ft into the air using its built-in corner brackets, flying high above a concrete container yard before letting gravity do the work.

FuelCube Type-S
And last but not least is our smallest offering: the FuelCube Type-S. This tank is small but mighty, and we have a special lifting bracket kit for it, too. Given its 119-gallon capacity, weight, and shape, it can be lifted freely – even when it’s full of diesel.
As a transfer tank, the FuelCube Type-S is designed with transportability in mind. It’s compact enough to sit snugly in your truck bed before being forklifted on to site for easy refueling. If there is one tank that we believe is powerful enough to fly, it’s this one.
Ready for take off: equipping your tank with our lifting bracket kit
While it might be a stretch to say our tanks can fly, their exceptional lifting capabilities certainly come close. The ease with which they can be lifted and maneuvered is a testament to the innovative engineering and attention to detail that go into every tank and accessory we produce.
The lifting brackets mean your chosen fuel tank can be dropped straight onto site, or removed in minutes for easy relocation. The quick set-up process enhances the efficiency and productivity of your operation, so you can get to work in no time.
