We’re often asked if the latest cube tanks can increase productivity and efficiency over old-fashioned round ones. Here are some FAQs and facts around their day-to-day operation and total cost of ownership. And why modernising your fleet is a great investment …
Traditional tanks need a secondary containment pan. By engineering 110% bunded units housing pump fittings and port connections within an exterior wall, our cube tanks save the effort and cost of cleaning pans to prevent contamination or rainwater accumulation. Round tanks also have their mount ports and pumps exposed to the elements and potential theft. With next-generation storage, these are contained in a secure, lockable cabinet.
All tanks require routine care. Double-walled containment simplifies the cleaning and inspection process – and removable inner liners make maintenance a breeze. This ensures clean fuel and extends their service life – our TransCube has a lifespan of 20+ years.
Sturdy square units also take up less space on-site or in a yard – but hold the same capacity. Our strong steel frames allow them to be stacked 3-high empty, and two on top of each other when filled with fuel. On tight sites, space is important.
The shape and profile of round tanks also makes them difficult to transport. We are the world leaders in transportable storage, so everything is engineered to withstand the rigors of keeping fuel safe on the move, providing protection from surges that can destabilise vehicles. Moving tanks filled with fuel also eliminates time wasted emptying and cleaning, reducing relocation time via a highway or across large sites.
Modern-day storage is safer, more efficient and environmentally secure. It offers an unbeatable return on investment – to own as a contractor or hire to them if you’re in the rental business.
