Q & A with Kevin Moore (Sales Director, Key Accounts)

Hey Kevin! To kick things off – how would you describe your job in one sentence?

I lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team that aligns with our global strategy and brand proposition of being the market leader in fuel storage.

Western Global has been credited the Great Place to Work award two years running. What do you think makes WG such a great place to work?

Working at WG is very different to any other business I have worked at previously. Western has a family culture, a company that cares for its employees. – This is increasingly important with the ever-changing working world we have experienced in the last three years ( e.g. covid/ cost of living crisis).

What’s your favourite product at Western and why?

It has to be the TransCube Global (TCG), our bread-and-butter market-leading tank. No one else in the market has manufactured a product with the same quality and design as the TCG. The TransCube fuels your projects worldwide, from fuelling entertainment at international events to helping send you off on your travels at the airport. I recently #spotted our TCG at Anfield Stadium (home of football).

What’s your favourite things to do in the summer?

Before my son Harrison was born, I played cricket for Brislington CC, which to my wife’s frustration, would take up most of my Saturdays. But, now we have our little man, family time is the most important after a busy week. I still take Harrison to see the guys play, and I would love for him to play cricket one day too. – Who knows, he could be the next Joe Root. As a family, we love to travel. Dubai is our favourite place for some winter sunshine.

And when the weather is not on our side… what are you watching right now?

I love anything to do with sport. 2023 has been brilliant with The Ashes, The Open, Women’s World Cup and the upcoming Rugby World Cup. I am also an avid Liverpool fan and get to Anfield whenever possible. As for Box-Sets, I am currently watching the Lincoln Lawyer.
