About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Sales Support Representative. The role is responsible for supporting the Regional Sales Manager in following up on leads, prospect for new customers, and set confirmed appointments with customers. They will also support order management and account management processes such as setting up new accounts for billing, preparing quotes and quoting support in delivering solutions, helping coordinate shipments, and post-shipment support.

Duties

Driving New and Existing Business

  • Be the primary contact with customers and prospects related to sales.
  • Educating customers on products that best fit their needs and technical specifications.
  • Spotting, generating and managing profitable sales opportunities with new and existing customers
  • Applying financial and commercial understanding to develop sales and close deals
  • Proactively research and analyse data providing insights on the market and customers.
  • Completing and reporting sales key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Developing new business through proactive and creative sales activities.
  • Identifying future opportunities in the market.
  • Supporting RSMs with market research to find potential new customers and product applications
  • Carrying out team administration needs as and when required including the following up on sales leads or quotations

Customer focus

  • Entering all sales activities into the customer relationship management (CRM) system (NetSuite).
  • Following up quotes in an appropriate manner to keep the RSM focused on selling
  • Providing shipment details and answering any post-order customer questions.
  • Staying up to date with company policies, procedures and products.
  • Developing long-term customer relationships.
  • Understanding and fulfilling customers needs.
  • Providing quotations to customers when appropriate
  • Supporting and controlling orders from initial orders through to delivery
  • Arranging shipping/transport for orders using efficient and compliant methods

Administrative

  • Arranging sales meetings between clients and the Regional Sales Manager (RSM)
  • Working with the RSM to support pipelines and forecasting.
  • Supporting with follow-up tasks, activity notes and new client communications to keep the RSM on the road.
  • Promoting communications between the sales and operations team.
  • Sharing your technical knowledge to train colleagues and new starters.
  • Using NetSuite to track opportunities, co-ordination of quotes with other subsidiary offices, and departments.

Customer Service

  • Maintaining and improving our levels of customer service
  • Treating all customers fairly and with a high standard of service
  • Supporting key accounts to ensure a high-quality service is provided and all opportunities are maximised
  • Providing day to day contact to ensure orders are managed, products and services are delivered, and quality is ensured

 

Requirements

Required Attributes

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Good standard of IT capability e.g. Microsoft Outlook & Word.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator on the telephone and in person
  • High levels of both verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize.
  • Multi-task to meet deliverables with little supervision.

Desired Attributes

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing industry
  • Previous use of a CRM tool ideally NetSuite.
  • Experience within a technical environment i.e. engineering, automotive etc.
  • A valid Driving License.
