About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Production Supervisor. In your role you will directly supervise the production team and will be accountable for the daily operational activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the production of quality products in a safe and organised working environment.

What will you be doing as our Production Supervisor?

  • Be the first point of contact for all production personnel, escalating issues to higher management as necessary.
  • Effectively manage the workforce, ensuring that all personnel have the components ready for production and ensuring that the workforce is focused on job completion.
  • Record data to track efficiencies and production capacity.
  • Schedule all works through Sacramento production facility, including sales and works orders, repair work, facility maintenance as agreed with GM, R&D support for engineering
  • Follow the production production schedule and processes and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Create job cards, plates, certificates and service documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Work with Transport to ensure the timely delivery of the production schedule
  • Quality conscious: ensure product is consistently produced within specification.
  • Ensures effective aligned communication within the workshop and other functions.
  • To promote teamwork and an inclusive environment so that all employees in the area feel involved and consistently treated in a fair way.
  • Leadership of team members, responsible for the full range of line management activities including, discipline, communications, absence control, authorise holiday allowance, team leadership, motivation and review meetings.
  • Supervise workshop staff, including monitoring of timekeeping and productivity, authorising overtime and identifying training needs.
  • Put safety first: take ownership for all line H&S issues including achieving good housekeeping practices as a matter of routine. Ensure PPE is always worn. Conduct detailed accident/near miss investigations. Involvement in risk assessments as required and work as area fire marshal.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness is maintained within the production area and tools are in good condition in order to maintain the company image and a safe working environment
  • Complete the weekly productivity sheets, operate the clocking machine and issue fobs when required
  • Providing support loading/unloading vehicles with the fork lift as needed
  • Be responsible for the opening and closing of the site each day

What we are looking for in our ideal Production Supervisor:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Good standard of basic IT capability e.g. Microsoft Outlook & Word
  • Experience in using ERP system, ideally NetSuite.
  • Knowledge in the use of RF scanners
  • Confident communicator on the telephone and in person
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Good attention to detail producing accurate information.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times and support in the management of confidential matters.
  • Forklift operation experience
