About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Business Development Manager based in either Bristol or Remote. Operating in and around the North England & Scotland this role will require you will lead, maintain, and enhance our sales activities in the region. Working closely with the Sales Support Team and the other Business Development Managers you will act as the face of the organisation and help Western expand across the UK and ultimately help increase our profits by effectively carrying out this role.

Our business is growing rapidly and we took on private equity investment in January 2021. This funding will support the next phase of our growth through geographical and channel penetration in North America.

What will you be doing as our Business Development Manager?

  • Develop strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to maximise all new inbound and outbound opportunities.
  • Create and manage sales pipeline in support of our business plan and long-term growth strategy and be able to forecast accurately and timely
  • To produce quotes, proposals and presentations of a consistently high quality with a strong focus on customer benefits.
  • Maintenance of accurate and up to date information in our CRM system. (NetSuite)
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the full portfolio of Western Global solutions and products.
  • Delivery of compelling face to face presentations
  • Effective territory management of North England and Scotland
  • Represent Western Global professionally in all forms of contact with client.
  • Have a presence at user trade shows, conferences and other major sector events as well as leading on other company events such as open days, client ‘show-and-tells’, sponsorship/partnership events.

 

What we are looking for in our ideal Business Development Manager:

  • Have a proven track record in Business Development and/or senior account management, ideally gained in the Construction Machinery Industry
  • Have proven communication skills, high energy levels, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Confident sales closer who relishes the challenge of annual sales targets.
  • Proven experience in managing sales targets and closing sales.
  • Happy to communicate progress against target and keep on top of KPIs.
  • Have a head for figures, trends and analysis and show integrity, innovation and accountability.
  • Ability to work across functions and collaborate as a team to drive overall company goals.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
  • Experience in using NetSuite ERP system

What's On Offer

A basic salary between £30,000 and £40,000, with commision at min 20% of salary based on hitting agreed targets.
