Fuel support throughout the Central African Republic
Providing the UN with fuel support across 11 sites in CAR.
The client, a fuel provider, was awarded a contract to provide the UN with fuel support for ground and air vehicles throughout the Central African Republic. Getting the 11 dispersed sites operational was going to be very challenging due to the remoteness, hostility and general lack of resources in CAR. Skills on the ground are limited with very few companies being prepared to work under these conditions.
Western Global provided standalone, self-powered TransTank P31 tanks that were configured to refuel light and medium vehicles without the need for grid or any other sources of power. The P Series is a double walled fuel storage tank with a containerized design that enables simplified transport when the unit is empty.
Western Global also supplied containerized tanks suited for jet fuel and a diesel engine powered jet fuel transfer trailer designed to transfer jet fuel at 50 m3 per hour into or out of fuel tanks with the ability to refuel aircraft directly. The trailer was fitted with the latest filtration system and a flow meter suited for resale, enabling the upmost accuracy in fueling.
Powered by their own generators, the fuel storage equipment supplied has proven to be a far simpler and safer way of storing and dispensing the fuel that’s required to keep the UN ground forces operational. The unit’s transportable design allowed for off-site testing and configuration prior to shipment, making the customer’s installation process and timeline much more efficient.
